Autonomous vision

Rovco

A Bristol firm is poised to create 70 high-skilled jobs and access a £20million market after creating an autonomous robot for the offshore renewable energy industry

Rovco’s advanced underwater 3D computer-vision delivers fully scaled, true to life, three dimensional graphical models of subsea turbines, allowing operators to remotely inspect wind farms based far offshore.

The company has potential to lower the cost of subsea inspections by 80%.

Rovco’s technology is currently being tested at Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult’s test and demonstration facility in Blyth.
